Storing Paint

  • If you have extra paint, store the paint cans upside down. (Be sure to replace the lid tightly before doing this!) The heavy pigment will be on the top when you open the cans. This makes mixing faster and easier.

  • Keep your pet quiet and take it to the vet ASAP. Never give pets human medicines (unless directed by your vet) because they could be poisonous to them. If your pet is bleeding, press a clean rag over the wound to slow the bleeding.

  • Wash as you normally do, then rinse them in a mixture of 1/4 cup of white vinegar in one gallon of water. Allow them to soak for a while, then squeeze out extra water. Don't rinse; just dry.

Low-Fat Coffee Creamer

  • If you want to save money, make your own. Combine a bit of nonfat dry milk with low-fat liquid milk. Keep in the refrigerator and shake before putting in your coffee.
